ANNOUNCEMENTS: For the third year, McKelvie will be joining schools, organizations, and communities from across New Hampshire in participating in the Holiday Cards 4 Our Military-NH Challenge. Your child will be invited to voluntarily write holiday greeting cards that will be sent to deployed servicemembers around the world. We need your help! If you have blank, unused holiday greeting cards from prior holiday seasons (with or without envelopes) or if you care to purchase some cards, we would love to have your child bring them to school during the next two weeks. Please remember that our servicemembers observe the holiday season in many different ways, so all types of holiday greeting cards are welcome. Our card submission deadline for McKelvie is October 29, so the sooner you can send cards to school, the better. Please visit the Holiday Cards 4 Our Military-NH Challenge website for more information about this effort, which is supported by our NH DOE. Thanks for your help!

Reading/ Lang. Arts - Your child is supposed to read on average 20 minutes each night. Each
student has been requested to complete a reading response page to be turned in on Fridays
throughout the first quarter.
Social Studies - Northeast Region Test - TOMORROW (Students will be given a blank map of the NE region

Reading/ Lang. Arts - Reading Test tomorrow. This will be a different type of test for the kids.
There will not be any story to reread or vocabulary to study. Students can study the concepts
they will be tested on which can be found on pages 68-72 of one's little hard cover Wonders hard
cover reading book. Lastly, each student should study the Greek and Latin Roots packet, we
completed in class last week.
Math - Parent Signature on Unit 2 Homelink Packet after reading family letter and reviewing vocabulary words.
